Vagabonding: A person without a permanent home who moves from place to place

The best piece of advice I can give to someone who plans on taking a couple of years out to travel - when in doubt just ask yourself this question "Am I going to regret this?". In my case the answer has always been a clear no and for myself and Sarah the journey of a lifetime is finally upon us.

Our rough travel plans for the next couple of years: fly to Cancun, Mexico 15th September and head southwards overland through Central America (Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica & Panama) and onto South America by boat (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay & Brazil). After a year of traveling we hope to hit Oz and work in Melbourne for 6 months to build up the funds before continuing our travels around Oz and NZ. If our pockets and sanity are still intact then maybe work our way back home through S.E. Asia. No doubt our plans will change but that's what vagabonding is all about; opportunities leading to unforgettable experiences.

We're going to use this blog to keep family and friends up-to-date (and a little jealous : ) ) with our travels. Photos of ancient Mayan ruins, sandy beaches, amazing views, sweat patches, frizzy hair and loco locals are bound to follow.  They will either amuse or horrify you all....

Our travels start from the road outside Sarah's house
